LightBuckets announced today that they are open for imaging! As a space and astronomy enthusiast, if you have an interest in imaging what's in the night sky, this is the way to do it and create some absolutely stunning results. Also, if you enjoy image processing to bring out the faintest details and ultimate eye-popping images, you should give LightBuckets a try.
LightBuckets offers an unmatched line up of world-class, large-aperture telescopes located in both the northern and southern hemispheres. The three RC Optical Systems telescopes (24” in Rodeo, NM; 20” in Mayhill, NM; and 14.5” in Pingelly, Australia) are operational and ready to use. They have mated the highest-quality imaging instruments to our telescopes including cameras such as the Apogee Alta U42 and the SBIG STL-11000M, with a complete range of Astrodon filters on all. In celebration of LightBuckets going “live”, they are offering special launch rates on all of the telescopes. Depending on the system you choose, you can save between 10-15% off the usual rates.
The goal of LightBuckets is to deliver a one-of-a-kind online astronomy experience with telescopes, cameras, mounts, and dark skies that many amateur astronomers, astrophotographers, and researchers wouldn’t have access to otherwise. It looks like they are well on their way to achieving that dream.
