Could someone help me with this question. I ama Newbie
I live in New Zealand . I am planning to purchase a Celestron C8 SE from USA, (there are no Celestron dealers here) . Would skyalign and others features work in the Southern hemisphere? Thanks |

I have not used a Celestron scope with SkyAlign in the southern hemisphere but all of the Celestron literature says that it absolutely will work. It does sound like the object database might be limited in the southern hemisphere, just from some of the stuff I read online.

Hi there, I have an Celestron 4 SE and it does have the option in the handset for the southern hemisphere. According to the manual i have the object database has more than enough to keep you going for the southern skies.
