the moon

I am 34 and today was the first time i ever saw the moon through a telescope way to cool! It was a rush and i really enjoyed it i still need to get everything zeroed in. But i can see this is a great thing for me gotta see more. Hey to everyone Walter.

A lovely site isn't it? I have to say until i got my scope i never really gave the Moon much thought but now it is my fav object. So much detail and you always see something different each time you view. Never ever boring to look at.
Saturn is another one that will take your breathe away when viewed through a scope so make that your next target.

10-4 astrogirl i will do that do you know if it is in view this month will that info be on skytrax?

Yep you should get that on Skytrax but i haven't got around to trying it properly yet(sorry Steve!).
Saturn is around. Where i am, London, it doesn't rise until 1am in the east near the star Regulus in Leo.
You should also think about getting some observing software. Here is a link for a free version which is good, it will tell you what is out and where to look......Stellarium.

Thankyou very much i will get the stellarium software i know the tech book with the scope said i could view saturn but its hard to find. I will let you know if i find it.
