Hi all,
Waited long enough, but got a clear night Saturday. Nearly forgot how to use my scope,lol.
Only managed a few hours as it never really got dark enough....bloody summer!! First to be seen was M57..ring nebula. What a beauty, clearly make out the ring shape. Never seem to have a problem finding it, straight in the eyepiece first time....(getting good at this me

)
After about 10 mins of gazing at M57 i jumped over to M56. Nearly missed it as it wasn't a great view, very fuzzy patch but hey, i saw it

. Tried a few others but alas, no luck as i think they were a bit low down and smothered by LP. So i went back and looked at M13 and M92. Both are lovely but M13 is my fav, gazed at it for ages. I had such a buzz out there hunting these down without the need of a goto, do everytime. I have found that i'm learning the night sky alot quicker and easier by doing this, me, a sky map and my baby(the scope). Had to give up after that as my neighbour decided to put on thier garden LIGHTS!!! Night vision GONE!!!.
Turned my attention then to the Moon. Wasn't greatly placed for me, but still gave it a go. Never get bored looking at the Moon, fascinates me

All in all had a great night...........waited long enough for it. Now it's going to be another 4 week wait.......
